"Good day to you gentle dames and damsels, gentlemen and little people. I am Hugues des Baux, the Lord of these regions. I have just trained my son Raymond in the arts of chivalry, and I would like to share with you this knowledge of the techniques of medieval war with the help of my master at arms".
          
This show is intended to be participatory, as volunteers will be chosen from the audience to try out the weapons and experience fighting with them.

Different stages of the show

First demonstration: Military combat with sword and shield

The entertainers will equip a spectator with a helmet and a shield and begin a series of rapid sword movements. They will then explain to the audience about the materials and the methods for making a sword.

Second demonstration: The importance of the shield

The performers will choose children from the public, equip them with real shields and start an attack to demonstrate to them the necessity of a shield in combat.

Third demonstration: Civil combat with the long sword

After the military battle, the entertainers will present civil defence, which was used much more. They will simulate hand-to-hand combat and end with a demonstration of disarming with a dagger attack (your money or your life). Finally, explanations will be given about how daggers are made.

Final: The dubbing ceremony

Visitors will be able to learn about a real dubbing ceremony, quite different from what can be seen in films!

This show will take place at 11 a.m, 12 a.m, 3 p.m and 5 p.m. Lasting half an hour, they will be moderated by trained and seasoned professionals of the ACTA Company. All the matches and all the demonstrations will take place under the most realistic possible conditions, within the limits of combatant safety. The materials, the weapons and the whole event meet the standards of a quality charter: they are "archaeo-compatible".
