Educational programmes
 Educational workshop for nursery school children (7 to 14 years)€ 14 per children These modules are supervised by professionals. From the following 6 modules, choose 3 to create your own educational formula : • Pony riding course: introduction to a horseman’s first lesson in weapons training and discover the qualities required to become a knight in a pony riding course. • Medieval costume: a presentation of the costumes worn by the different classes in the Middle Ages with an introduction to the dances of the court of Les Baux de Provence. • A knight’s equipment and medieval weapons: presentation of the harness, armour plating and chain mail... Then discover the different siege machines and how they worked, after which the children can take part in a live demonstration. • Medieval games: presentation of medieval entertainment at the court of Les Baux, with participation in the games played by troubadours and noblemen (walking on stilts, skittles, trou madame, patience, bagatelle, hopscotch, etc.). • Archery and crossbows: presentation of the weapons and introduction to archery. • Calligraphy: presentation of the different forms of writing and introduction to calligraphy.  Educational workshop for nursery school children (3 to 6 years)14 € per children These modules are supervised by professionals. The children discover the castle and its history through a series of 3 educational modules. • Discover the Castle on a pony: the history of the Château is explained to the children in a light-hearted and lively way. • Medieval games: presentation of medieval entertainment at the court of Les Baux, with participation in the games played by troubadours and noblemen (walking on stilts, skittles, trou madame, patience, bagatelle, hopscotch, etc.). • Heraldry: discover the coat of arms of Les Baux de Provence and make your own with an emblem of your choice. Duration: 2 hrs |
